Adding PCs or reinstalling the product

Create a Windows Live OneCare Circle of Protection to monitor, manage, and keep your household’s computers (and your wireless network) safe and secured. OneCare makes it simple!

Add another computer to your OneCare Circle

To add another computer (up to three total) to your existing subscription:

1. Using the computer you wish to install Windows Live OneCare on, click the link below to begin installation.

2. When the installation is complete, open Windows Live OneCare and click the Activate button.
3. Sign in with the same Windows Live ID you used when you first installed Windows Live OneCare and then follow the directions.

Reinstall Windows Live OneCare on your computer

If you have an active Windows Live OneCare subscription, you can reinstall OneCare on your computer using your existing subscription. Just follow these easy steps:

1. On the computer where you want to reinstall Windows Live OneCare, click to download the OneCare installation packet.
2. Click Add another PC.
3. Click Install Windows Live OneCare..
4. Click Next.
5. Sign in to OneCare with the same Windows Live ID you used when you first installed OneCare.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows Live OneCare.

Notes

• If reinstalling Windows Live OneCare fails, please download and run the OneCare cleanup tool. After running the cleanup tool, reboot and attempt to reinstall OneCare again.
• If you reinstall Windows Live OneCare, you don't have to enter your credit card information again. You only need to sign in using your Windows Live ID. Your information is transferred when you reinstall OneCare.
• If you have already completed installation and activation for your first PC, you can get your Windows Live ID by following these steps:
  1. Open OneCare.
  2. Click Help.
  3. Click About Windows Live OneCare.
  4. The email address displayed after Service ID is your Windows Live ID.
